Motherwell manager Stuart McCall: "Looking at the long picture, it would be fantastic if we could go as far as we can in the cup, do well in the league, and maybe use that as a carrot to try to keep some of the players.
"We're not looking too far ahead. Aberdeen are a very tough opponent to get over, and the winners go to Hibs, which is obviously another difficult game.
"But there is a sense in the squad that they want to do as well as they can.
"But we have got players in that dressing room who have been to Hampden three times in the last couple of years. It's a great place to play football.
"We have had a little bit of success a couple of seasons ago and naturally we want to do it again."
Aberdeen manager Craig Brown: "Maybe we are tempting fate but we will do some penalty kick practice in case it gets to that stage, because we have been unfortunate in penalty deciders here.
"That is a distinct possibility in this fixture.
"It could be a long night and it could be competitive.
